@catherinerobilliard7662 Imo, there needn’t be another inquiry because it will only detract from the necessary changes being made, with the level of urgency it deserves. They take far too long. We know what happened, we know who’s responsible and we know who covered it up. We should stop wasting time and hold them ALL accountable. The local authority has been well aware of this issue for decades. They were aware when a young girl I know, was being SA’d in her foster placement and then again in the “care home” she was placed in. I removed her from there and took her out of LA care. The police attended my address to take her back and I politely told them I would take them to court as they were putting her at risk, they left her with me. It’s a disgrace and this issue isn’t exclusive to Muslim communities. This is a much bigger issue. It’s highlighting (once again) LA and police failings. What I will say is, we don’t have open and honest enough dialogue with the leaders in Muslim communities. Achieving that is a two way thing.
