  1. If you've watched Vice's "Garbage Island" you'd know that most of the plastic floating in the Ocean, i.e. North Pacific Gyre, it's not large, single handheld pieces of plastic out there. Most of the plastic is tiny, micro pieces of plastic that suffocate fishes and stuffs seagulls stomach. Boyan might be doing something extraordinary, but we're a long way away from Optimal levels.

  13. Americans really do live in a totally different world. Europe has been the site of countless battles, wars, revolts, revolutions and mass killing, that they're just done with it. Battles and massacres like: Stalingrad, Battle of the Somme, Battle for Berlin, Battle of France, Normandy invasions, Gallipoli, Battle of the Atlantic and the Battle of the Bulge. If i lived in Europe, or anyone, we'd would feel like guns in the wrong hands lead to death and killing. Historically, you can't blame these people for trying to have a sense of security that has been lacking for 100's of years beforehand.

  25. This's so stupid. I don't want a baseball bat to be able to hit home-runs at every bat. A football that's able to guide itself into the hands of a receiver every time. A soccer ball to be able to guide itself into the top or bottom corner. The spectacular is what makes life so amazing. I don't want the amazing to be common, then what do I have to look forward to?

  28. I actually like the idea of this.  But i hardly see this as an entire meal replacement. The product seems to lack much fat or cholesterol which is necessary for the body. It seems to contain all the other necessary nutrients that a body needs. You'd still need to have a sit down dinner every 2-5 times a week to balance it all out.
