  1. A rent in russia is much chiper than that in us. Much cheeper are interenet, elecricity bills, other utulity services, medical bills. The food cost at least 3 times chiper in russia as well. From other hand, becoz of sanctions, cars, electronics etc may be more expensive in russia . So the same amount of earned cash means totally different .

  2.  @Spetz  Say, an 1 bedroom moscow apartment in a new building like "project" (that is typical type of construction in russia) 500-600 sqr feet cost around 200 thousand dollars. You can afford in moscow a rent just 350-700 dollars for 1 bedroom ap in old soviet style building. These numbers are way too far from those in california as you can see.

  3.  @elena79rus  Healthcare sounds free only in theory, but in reality you should pay if you want you were treated well. Transportation isn't good enough, so many ppl have to buy a car. There is a big problem in russia today becoz of lack of parking seats in cities . Every places near living houses are packed with cars.

  5. So, as have been told many times, Moscow is not russia, and all the way round. The gap between rural area and the city is same as between rich world and third world countries.
