@musaurelius7144 It was our Belgian minister of justice ( Van Quickenborne) and it was done by Dutch people. It's weak because it means a whole border and thousands of people's lives have been changed because of a gang. The main task of a government is assuring safety in your everyday life. Closing a border everytime a gang is getting wild is Mexican standards and not very feasible... Good to know it's only 1 bordercrossing, tldr made it look like it was the whole border.

The US does better checks, Sweden allowed anyone with a brown color in... But you're right, there's a reason why immigrants of the second generation feel American and are ready to join its army. While our European 3rd and 4th generation ones don't even feel European yet....

Not to be rude, but how weak is your government, to shut down a border because of a gang? My country borders the Netherlands, a narcostate, in almost every dr*gs related crime a Dutch person is related. Not so long ago 2-3 Dutch people tried k*lling our minister of justice.... But we never closed the border.
