 @person.X. Dignity? For years weak politicians didn't dare to do this brave reform and would rather cause a huge debt. Macron is the only French politician with balls that dared to do this.

@ZentaBon You could tax the rich for 100% and it still wouldn't be enough to lower the debt. Fact is France is getting older and lives longer... What's so hard to understand about that? It isn't about taxing the rich or not, it is about whether the French economy will fall or not. Macron understood this and acted right. This is the difference between us and poor 3rd world socialist countries with bad politicians; political courage.

@ZentaBon That's your problem. You guys denounced socialism and went for the ultra capitalism, you chose to invest most of your money in your military. It is not because of rich people but because of your policies. Most European countries lowered their military budget in the 1980's -1970's and came with this huge social programs. In Belgium they pay 52 % income tax for the benefits, are you prepared and open to the disadvantages for it? Because you Americans also earn a lot more than us because of the lower taxes. Your colleges are top tier since they can use that money for research and innovation, while European colleges aren't.

@glefogleforoma1329 There's one thing that people like me (pro-Macron) and anti-Macron people will say in common about Macron: he has the biggest in all of Europe. Sometimes we need politicians like him to restore common sense.
