I think Gaza does have a strategic importance. It's the only thing prohibiting the whole Middle East and Israel teaming up against Iran. Which is Iran's biggest fear. Most of its militias would lose their goal and start internally fighting probably and all Arab nations and Israel together against Iran? Finally no more American presence in the Middle East maybe.

@erolegario Saudi Arabia literally stopped the negotiations after the Gaza war. And Saudi Arabia has a leading role in the middle east.

Sad to see people think the radical ideas are the mainstream ideas in the Arab states. The Baath party is everything but religious, and their ideology controlled the Arab states since the beginning.
