  51.  @debbiehaha1300  I trained as a colour and Image Consultant in the US years ago and as our appearance is a statement we put out to the world, she wears all the wrong colors for her natural coloring, including, I suspect, her hair color. Hard to tell for sure as the colors on the screen are not exactly true. I suspect she wants to be an Autumn colouring (Warm and Muted) but it does nothing for her. I think her image statement shows a level of rather low self awareness.

Everyone is different, so it makes sense to zero in on what comes most naturally to you. Self knowledge leads to confidence. I did a monthlong careers workshop when my youngest went off to school and found out I was best at people, paper (especially writing) and phones. I started at entry level market research surveying and ended up as a commodities negotiator. I loved working, being with people and getting things done so I capitalised on that, and made enough to support myself and my daughter, until cancer intervened and I had to retire and concentrate my remaining energies on supporting an elderly parent with disabilities. If you can make a start, you can build up slowly and eventually find your niche. I know of one neuro-divergent person who is a bit socio-phobic, who earns some money as a home-knitter for a company which sells handknits to the well off.
