To survive and thrive in Britain and Ireland, it is necessary to become more mannerly, which is only out of consideration and kindness for others, and to avoid loud and violent exchanges. Only barbarians behave like that!. And we have enough barbarians of our own! Britain is/was a very civilised place, for the most part, and it can be again.

I lived in the US during the 1970s and 80s and saw the exportation of manufacturing jobs to mostly Asian countries, and the establishment of the service economy. I had the image in my mind of a huge circle of people all scratching each others backs (service) but no-one was working on getting and providing dinner! Not sustainable! But no-one would listen then either. So frustrating...

  26. So Starmer is pitching up against both the USA and Russia. Insanity! Europe depends on USA funded NATO forces for military protection. If the USA withdraws all funding for NATO what then? If the USA withdraws all funding for Ukraine, what then? Can such a war continue without external funding? Is Starmer willing to stand alone against the USA and Russia? Or are a 'certain demographic' going to come in handy now. Oh the flip-flopping. A couple of days ago Starmer seemed all buddy-buddy with President Trump, and today he is trying to rally a 'coalition of the willing' to continue the war in the Ukraine which, with the EU, is really a proxy war for the Globalists who want to establish a one-world-government which is hoping to finish off Western democracy for good, and a good slice of the West's population at the same time. The Globalist masters want this... IMO.
