  1.  @franciecody4433  I listened. It seems to me to be like Jack-the Lad in a bar, buying drinks all round with his credit card, while his wife and children and the old folks at home are living on beans and rain is coming in through the roof - if they even have a home!

  2.  @russbischoff9735  The most brilliant comment on these matters I've ever read. I'm not an economist, but it makes perfect common sense. I lived in the US during the 1970s and 80s and saw the exportation of manufacturing jobs to mostly Asian countries, and the establishment of the service economy. I had the image in my mind of a huge circle of people all scratching each others backs (service) but no-one was working on getting and providing dinner! Not sustainable! But no-one would listen then either. So frustrating...
