  1. It has always been so in my experience. First get control of the child (using punishments) and then try to program them in the permitted official stance. I'm 76 and it was like that through all my school years. School is still about programming and indoctrination.

  4. Yes. The teacher can only cite 'policy' and 'authority', which in this case run counter to biological fact. I'm very proud of this young man.
