@junewilson1629 it did not take that long to take her to hospital. She had to be cut out of the car and when htey got her out, she had a big heart attack.. and was all but dead. So they had to revivve her and transport her to hospital carefully so that they did not jar her heart any more. It took about 20 mins and they may have had to stop because she was crashing again.

@leilanilea dont be foolish. Dodi wanted Henri Paul to drive him and he didn't want his security men around. this was fairly typical behaviour for Dodi. he probalby did not notice if Henri showed signs of having a few drinks.

@angelasims2759 the Paget report says htat all the belts were working but nobody wore their belt. he was in hte front and the airbags protected him a bit. She was thrown around hte back and bashed up against the front seat.

@Gaeliclass it does not make sense. the queen was annoyed by Diana's behaviour and did not feel inclined to be soft on this issue. She pointed out that Diana had said she would be knonw as Diana Pss of Wales so the decision to drop the HRH was Diana's.

Harry does not seem to be interested in hte Bashir issue, whereas Charles S worked to expose the man.... the queen was not likely to give in to pressure from her son if she thought it was wrong... of course she was annoyed iwht CHarles but she was more annoyed by then with Diana.

@Gaeliclass I can guess, form her actions. She was sorry for Diana and disapproved of Charles having an affair but the more she had to deal wiht Diana, she could see that the marriage was not working and that Diana was getting more difficult, and she realised that she had to get them to finish off the marriage. Most mothers will back their own children in a divorce, rather than their daughters in law. Its quite possible that the queen started out disapproving of Charles a lot but began to see his point of view and felt that she had to cut Diana off.

The chances of its going wrong were tiny... and of course she woudl be celebrated as being brave and wonderful, regardless because of who she was. @CaliSayna she didnt wear her seat belt.. whihc is why she was thrown against the front seats and the violence of the crashed caused a tear in her vein and moved her heart to the wrong side of her body. If she had had her belt on she would not have wound up trapped beween the seats.

@timmcdonald5335 well there are speed limits and rules about alcohol and wering seat belts. I havent heard that that tunnel was an accident black spot so it seems that other drivers got through it safely because they drove at a legal speed, did not get drunk and wore their belts

dont be silly. Dodi was not a guest, he was the owner's son and he insisted on HP driving instead of his usual chauffuers, he told his bodyguards that MAF had oked what he was doing and I doubt if it ioccurred to him to think whehter Paul might have been drinking....
