@rexharlow9781 she has to be queen consort. Once Charles is married to a woman and he becomes king, that lady becomes queen consort. She may choose not ot use the title.

@emmahayward9977 yes she called her Aunt Lilibet but that was because that was the pet name used by close friends and family for the queen, not because Diana herself could not pronounce Eliz. Di didn't spent that much time with the RF, but she did live on Sandringham estate as a child. the queen herself made up the name Lilibet as a child and it stuck with her...

Charles is the Prince of Wales, second to the queen in improtance in teh RF. He was used to being the centre of attention and suddnely it stopped and the crowds were ignoring hm and moaning if they got on his side of the road.. and yelling for Diana. Of course it was going to affect him.
