She had never experienced it, and for all her married life, she had lived with great weatlth and with servants to do everything for her... how wold somone like that suddently change to life in a stuido flat and little money>?

  22.  @thinkingallowed7042  being a working princess is a job, it may not be very hard compared with most jobs but it is demanding in its way, meaning that you are on show on a regular basis, having to meet people and be polite, and publicise the causes you are visiting. Diana wasn't as busy as her husband or Ps Anne, but she was a reasonably hard working princess during her marriage.

Perhaps he knew her better than the people who saw pics of her, and he knew that she was not his type, and that they had nothing in common and were unhappy, so he preferred his old girlfriend.
