  3. @Guitar-qv6gu it is not how the line of succession works. the monarch's eldest son automatically becomes Duke of Cornwall, but the POW title has to be conferred. Edward VII did not confer it on his son George for some time after he became king, because for a long time the title had been associated with himself.
