It is about real people, who are usually reluctant to fight back with lawyers etc. and many people who watch it think that it is all true.

@michellenonnalagares985 People com up with poisonous ideas about the RF, and this is largely because they pick up ideas from shows like the Crown. If you ask them where they got such and such an idea from, they will say it was in "the moive" and they believe it implicily. If the producers of the Crown are sincere in not wanting to make te RF look bad, they would put a disclaimer on the show.
