  2.  @Zerpderp0  A bit like in the former Iron Curtain countries. A friend was in Romania in the 1980s. He was at an airport when Nicolai Ceausescu was returning from a foreign trip. Bus loads of unhappy supporters were brought to the airports, to welcome and cheer his arrival for the state TV cameras. Afterwards they returned to looking glum and were bussed home.
