  9. According to the most recent census, London's English population is about 38%. It's statistically unlikely that a blade-wielding maniac will be from the English culture. Some cultures are more likely to wield blades than others. Nobody who's just been praying at his local synagogue would do this. Albanians, Iraqis, Syrians and Afghans are a different matter.

  13. Agreed. Some cultures are more likely to wield blades than others. That's NOT R-wrist. Chances he's called Goldstein: One in a thousand. Chances he's called Wu: About the same. Chances he's called Wilcox, Thompson or Smith: Maybe but it's unlikely. They've mostly been replaced in London.

  18.  @kevinclark2856  Interesting to listen to the news on BBC Radio 2 yesterday afternoon (Wed. 18th Aug.). The news gave a full description of the murderer - baseball cap, trouser colour, everything - but declined to mention his ethnicity which was the single most important feature.

  20. For clarity: The phrase "mostly peaceful" was used by news reporters at BLM rallies, where vehicles were set on fire and shops were looted. Wholly unrelated to religion. But some folks are making a Freudian slip by assuming it must be. From appearances, SOME (but not all) of the kidnappers might be diverse. Hence MOSTLY peaceful, but there are plenty of scumbag WASPs around too.

  26. I've been stopped by the cops lots of times. I never resisted arrest, I never ran off and I never got the crap beaten out of me. You're correct: this level of beating is wholly unjustified, but sometimes US cops are needlessly fierce because the man might pull out a concealed weapon. Felons will say, "It's OK now, I surrender" and then pull a snub-nosed .32 from their belt and start blazing.
