I've been stopped by the police whilst driving several times. I've never possessed illegal guns, never tried to outrun the cops and never driven my car at a police officer. I've never been shot dead. Somehow my being alive might be linked to the other three facts, but I'm not sure.

Three most dangerous career choices in history: 1.) Drill rapper, 2.) Suicide bomber, 3.) Kamikaze pilot.

@blunderingfool Mostly peaceful.

Me too. I never got charged once. Maybe I should've tried to outrun the police and, when cornered, threatened to drive into a policeman. What would've happened next?

@carbon1255 Did you hear about the Irish kamikaze pilot? He flew 20 successful missions.

@grahamtaylor6883 I was stopped in my modified car, just because the cops had a "Wow! Look at that!" moment and wanted a closer look. Technically speaking they were possibly acting outside the law, but I'm delighted for an opportunity to be friendly to local cops who, next week, might see me marginally breaking the speed limit and give me a pass.

@eddiebruv I've always been polite and apologetic to cops who've stopped me for minor offences. If I'd given them verbal abuse, they would've booked me. If George Floyd had simply surrendered himself instead of resisting arrest and swallowing his drugs, he'd have spent a few months in prison and would be out again, committing more crime.

@JackCarsonite I hope any Irish reading my joke won't be offended. In Ireland, the same joke would be told about a Kerryman, someone from Kerry.

@kwicksandz Is that you, Clem?

@wishingwell12345 Yeah you're right. The cops should've allowed the vehicle on its way because the driver was black. Cars with firearm alerts on them must never be stopped unless the driver is white.

@patthewoodboy Sometimes warning a driver can be as useful as a prosecution. I've been arrested in the past. Being arrested and thinking, "Damn, that was a close call" can set a person straight without the need for a formal prosecution. Same when I've been stopped for naughty driving.

@lindalaw5466 No, it's politeness on my part. I was once stopped by the police at 2am. I'd just had my car re-MOT'd and retaxed, so I had all my documents (including insurance) in my car. The female cop was on a power trip and wanted to make something of it, but a sober and polite bloke with a full set of documents is hard to criticise. If I'd tried to outrun the cops or threatened to run them over, things would've been different.

@lindalaw5466 Hahahahaha! Halfords, yes, the motoring equivalent of Joe Biden's brain.

@grahamtaylor6883 I had modified cars when I was young as well. I never get stopped now that I'm grey and wrinkled.
