  1. I loved the anti-establishment TV humour of the 1980s, even though I was a hardline Thatcherite. Rik in The Young Ones, shouting "Thatcher!" as an insult. The "Comic Strip" making shows like "GLC", or their wonderful movie, "The Strike", with a comedian playing Al Pacino as Arthur Scargill. Or their movie "Eat the Rich". A wrestler playing the Home Secretary, having an illicit love affair with Queen Elizabeth, both of them returning to Buck House late at night, blind drunk and waking the corgis. "I'm the 'ome secretary and I can't even type". Did I try to destroy the careers of Ade Edmundson and his like? No. Free speech is WONDERFUL.
