  3.  @andrewwhite6895  OK here's a change of phrasing: If Rishi had been the Conservative Party leader during the last general election, fewer people would've voted for their constituency's Conservative candidate. As a result, Rishi could not have become prime minister. The phrase "We didn't vote for Rishi" is shorthand for a much longer explanation.
