As the Empire granted independence, every state was left with a democratic constitution, a viable economy, a free press, an efficient civil service, an independent judiciary, a line of credit and abundant goodwill advice. Countries which followed the British model have prospered. Countries which reverted to their own cultural values have destroyed themselves. Let's blame Whitey for their imperial legacy. Yeah.
