@englishweather9763 Click on Simon's link. It appears the person was a Pakistani bloke and was wearing a pro-Islamic T-shirt. Perhaps the cops would've done a better job by leaving him on the street, and gathering data every person he contacts.

I wonder how the Stasi cops discovered you'd ever had a copy. I've got a 1930s edition of "Mein Kampf", plus a 1930s edition of Mussolini's autobiography, bought at secondhand book shops back in the early eighties. I wonder if possessing those books is illegal as well. Just to clarify: I've also got several books about Churchill, and a couple of hundred books about WW2 aviation.

Can it still be bought? I want a copy.

Mer Der Thanks! I've got books about infantry tactics. I guess they're illegal too.

@kungfutzu3779 Mein Kampf was very boring. Hitler could paint but he was a f*ckin' useless writer. Mussolini came across as a boastful narcissist.

@kungfutzu3779 Churchill was both a better writer and a better painter.

@kinelll That's a waste. Better to use it as toilet paper.

@kungfutzu3779 Churchill was a first-rate journalist and historian. He went to the Sudan and South Africa as a journalist first and a soldier second. Perhaps there are images of his paintings on line, but I haven't looked. Hitler's paintings depict a literal view of the subject, as though he were an architect. Churchill interprets light in a way that late 19th century painters would've envied.
