I lived in Nigeria as a tiny child before independence. My father was a professional involved in building a hospital. Wonderful place. Nigeria could've had a great future if the British had continued running it. Every African country which reverts to its own ethnic values becomes like Haiti.

There used to be a beautiful city in Africa, like Wakanda. Beautiful parks, safe streets, great universities, prosperity and economic mobility for every class. The city was called Johannesburg. Then the locals took over and wrecked it.

@mariewalker4010 I had hoped to migrate from the UK to the Cape about 30 years ago. Phenomenal exchange rate via the "Financial Rand". Then the UK property market crashed, I couldn't sell my house and I stayed put. Dear God, I dodged a bullet there.

@ddoherty5956 Britain makes wonderful sofas. Everybody from around the world wants to sit on them. Get comfortable at our expense. Britain makes terrible cabinets.

@mariewalker4010 You wouldn't want to live in Hillbrow again. Lots of Cockneys feel the same way about London. It's a toss up to know which is the better place for a white person to be chased down the street by a machete-wielding person.

@JH-lf4ql The British ran most of the world successfully. Britain today isn't run by the British. One look at the cabinet will tell you that.
