  1. I always assumed an invasion would involve panzers fighting their way into Whitehall. The Army fighting to the last, artillery at point blank range and PIAT guns. Home Guard soldiers using local knowledge to defend every crossroads with petrol bombs and broomsticks. The PM sitting in his underground bunker with a revolver on his desk. Five bullets for the first invaders through his door. Saving the last round for himself.

A PM who empathises with the invaders and lures them with promises of free houses and benefits. Invaders brought to our shores by the Royal Navy and housed in multistar hotels. Yet our people remain docile like sheep.

  6.  @georgehetty7857  THANKS! I immediately posted a Reply to my own comment, to avoid making my original comment too long. I'm unsure which phrases triggered the Al Gore rhythms. I stated that our in vase yon was planned by our governments, organised by our civil service, funded by the taxpayer, embraced by a PM who sides with the in vayd yers, who are lured with promises of a free house and benefits, escorted to our shores by the Royal Navy and imprisoned in luxury hotels. Yet we remain docile like sheep. I dunno whether THIS comment will remain visible.
