@candy-le4nh David Olusoga is much loved by the BBC as a diversity-hire historian. Mr. O seems to claim that every great thing in British history was accomplished by B people. Somebody needs to tell Mr. O that he's an inadequate historian who's only got a job ahead of W people because he's B.

@englishciderlover7347 Henry VIII's admirals needed to raise valuable objects from the Mary Rose. They required someone who could swim down and attach a rope to a gun. They hired a north African fisherman who specialised in diving for sponges, a swimmer who could hold his breath for a long time. I assume he returned to his homeland after finishing his job. But diversity-hire historians like David Olusoga would claim he was one of thousands who lived here permanently.
