  1. Boys need male teachers. In my days, many teachers had served in WW2 or National Service. Some of my maths teachers learned their craft by navigating heavy bombers to Berlin and back. They knew how to engender respect, and the difference 'twixt pranks and stuff worth punishing. My son's teachers are mostly woke women with studs through their noses. Dreadful.
