There is a way for local communities to fix this, in villages where migrant camps are being set up. EVERY local person should join the party of their current MP. Become a member of their local association (Plaid Cymru, Lib, Lab, Con, whatever). There is always a formal adoption meeting, shortly after the general election is called. The meeting might be attended by say 100 members. Then an extra 300 genuine card-carrying members attend, dump the regular candidate and elect their own based candidate. All legal. All according to the rules. I wanna see this happen in EVERY community where a former RAF base is expected to house a thousand unwanted persons.

I was a Tory activist for 29 years, but allowed my membership to lapse under Cameron. Trust me: This would work. I hope somebody who opposes the new camp at Scampton and a dozen other sites will read this and set it up.

@BillSikes. Sometimes I wish I hadn't left my local Conservative Association. If every "based" person leaves, only the wet-wokes will remain. Perhaps I could've organised a revolt by contacting the former UKIP. If 120 former UKIP members joined and swamped the formal adoption meeting, we could dump our current woke MP and replace him with a sensible person.

@Graham_Patch Interesting to see 100 + protestors outside proposed migrant camps. A typical turnout at my prior Tory association adoption meeting was always smaller than that. If most of those protestors joined the local association of their MP's party, they could outvote everyone else. All 100% legal, no rules broken. Adopt a preferred candidate of their choice.

@Graham_Patch AGREED 100%, but there are videos on YT taken from GB News, showing 100+ protestors with banners outside the gates of proposed asylum centres. They're willing to be filmed and their faces put on TV. If every one of those protestors join a party, they can kick out their uniparty MP and replace him/her with someone better.
