My ancestry is African. My ancestors left Africa, hunting mammoths and bisons as they crossed Europe. They floated across Doggerland on hand-hewed tree trunk canoes, and we've been here ever since.

@etiennepilorget8777 On the assumption that humans originated in Africa (some people dispute this), 100% of my ancestors came from Africa. The same as 100% of the Chinese, the north American Indians and the Australian aborigines. But my point is: My ancestors got here first, and I don't believe Somalians and Pakistanis should push me out of my ancestral homeland.

LatinThunder If that's true, Whitey has a perfect right to colonise Africa. Anybody who refuses is WAYCIST. I deserve my place in Africa, like a Jew who returns to Israel. Yeah. (Dear God, we could go round and around with all this.)

@jaytaylor9232 That's right, Doggerland is the area where the North Sea sits today. Tens of thousands of years ago, Doggerland comprised the confluence of many large European rivers. Mostly dry land but with big rivers, with aurochs and bison grazing nearby. Think of the mouth of the Amazon today. I've seen a TV documentary, about archaeologists who are exploring ancient stone age settlement, discovered under the Solent. My ancestors (and possibly yours) may have passed through that settlement on their way to holidaying in Bournemouth. (EDIT: Bournemouth was 20 miles inland at that time. Global warming, 50,000 years before Greta Thunderpants had been born. Possibly caused by all those farting aurochs.)
