History Debunked

Some naughty BBC personalities are protected, but others are thrown to the wolves. Boy George was imprisoned for a violent sex attack, but he's been paid to appear on several BBC TV and radio shows. Alternatively, the presenter Frank Bough and the entertainer Angus Deaton attended sex parties and were never charged with anything, but the BBC made them unemployable. I suspect that, unlike Boy George, Frank and Angus lacked inside-knowledge of the private lives of the BBC's top executives.

Mark Twain wrote that history doesn't repeat itself, but it rhymes. Same thing with our news media. Not actually controlled, but all singing from the same hymn-sheet.

@BusbyTreeSurgery I used to assume British Intelligence was on "our" side.

@Tourist1967 I have zero evidence as to the cause. Some BBC personalities are protected and allowed to continue their careers, whereas others become non-persons and unemployable. Both Jupiter Thunder and djlewis (see above) have possibly hit the nail on the head.

@Tourist1967 I have no proof, evidence or explanation. I'm curious as to why the BBC protects and rehabilitates some celebrities. Others are permanently rendered non-persons and can never work again. I assume it's all about being protected by friends within the corporation.
