Park flew his Hurricane to pay unexpected visits to his squadrons in his prewar white flying overalls. Always concerned about the health and morale of his crews, because he'd seen so much death in the Great War. Park started as a private soldier in Gallipoli. He was promoted in the field and became an ace on Bristol Fighters.
