My son returned from school when he was about eight, with a Channel 4 book about Mary Seacole. Large chunks of the book were invented. One section stated Mary Seacole was mocked and picked on at school for being black, but she was brave and ignored the taunts. I'm pretty certain that never happened. As we know, there ain't enough racism to go around. So Channel 4 invents it.

@Mark Jones That's sad. Leftists would regard me as WAYCIST, but I'm actually married to an east Asian girl. Our son is halfnhalf. As soon as he was old enough, I showed him the clip from the JJ Abrams "Star Trek" movie, where the young Spock beats the f*ck out of a Vulcan kid for saying nasty things about his mum. Marriage for love is OK, but importing millions of people who hate the UK and white people is something else.

@angr3819 Agreed, it's complete fiction. Did Mary Seacole actually attend school? I doubt it. The entire section was inserted so that kids can put themselves into the shoes of a child who's vilified on the grounds of their race. It didn't actually happen, so let's pretend it did. Jussie Smollett would be proud.
