Every part of the world which functions properly does so because of British influence. To understand this, compare Canada and Australia with Spanish-speaking south America. After decolonisation, those countries which retained the best aspects of British civilisation have prospered. Countries which reverted to their own indigenous values have mostly become shit-holes. Compare India (a democracy) with Pakistan.

@georgehetty7857 Thanks, George. I lived in a couple of 'em. I haven't been to India and Pakistan, but we all know Pakistan is a worse sh*t-hole than India. At its worst, the conditions in Indian slums aren't much worse than those in Dickensian London.

@EnglishVeteran Thank YOU for your reply! I'm not actually Cornish at all, but I often leave that comment when I see "English" 'cos it's funny. Sometimes I visit WW2 videos and comment, "I've never actually been to Berlin, but my Dad often flew over it during the war". Again: Untrue but funny.
