  1. I've been stopped by coppers whilst driving my car LOADS of times. The coppers were polite but firm. I was polite and compliant. I've never been beaten up or shot dead by coppers. But that was in an era before printing stickers saying "IT'S OK TO BE W H I T E " was illegal.

  3. I've just been watching "The Lavender Hill Mob" on TV. From an era when criminals resembled Sid James and Stanley Holloway. And London's East End resembled England.
