  1. Our NHS is among the first national health services set up by modern states. The concept was imitated by many other countries since the 1940s. NO other system imitated the British model, which they saw as deeply flawed. EVERY other country adopted a different system for its service, delivering the maximum care at an affordable cost. We're stuck with a system equivalent to a 1940s valve radio in the age of silicon chips.
