Comments by "Ray Purchase" (@raypurchase801) on "Chris Kaba: Met Police suspend officer involved in shooting" video.
@saabsa Kaba was endangering the lives of policemen by driving directly at them, trying to ram his way out of a road block. Kaba had a criminal record and was known to have handled fire arms. I've been pulled over by the cops on several occasions. I never endangered the lives of coppers by trying to ram my way out, and I've never been shot dead.

I can honestly say that on the several times the police have flagged me down in my car, I never once endangered the lives of coppers by trying to ram them with my car, and I've never once been shot dead.

Notice how the journalist refers to wholly unrelated tales of police errors and criminality. The journalist barely mentions Kaba's criminal history, his brandishing of fire arms or the violent lyrics of his music. Perhaps Kaba's criminal activities and his glorification of violence was more relevant than the unrelated tales of historic police failures by officers who were sacked for their deeds.

@leighannclements7849 So the criminal was shot BEFORE he actually killed anybody? That's damned bad timing. The police should've waited until cops had been crushed and crippled BEFORE opening fire.

@silentmajority8365 I've been stopped by the police several times. I never tried to ram the cops or their cars out of my way. No cops ever shot and killed me. Somehow, NOT ramming cops and NOT getting shot seem to be related.

I've been stopped by the police whilst driving my car on several occasions. I never tried to outrun the cops or ram my way out after being cornered. I've never been shot dead by the police. Somehow, NOT ramming cops and NOT getting shot might be related in some way.

@jsmith4230 I click on "REPLIES" and yours disappears. Looks like YouTube has put your comment in the Naughty Box for writing the truth.

Usual unbalanced and nasty reporting by Channel 4.

@jsmith4230 Yep.

@leighannclements7849 Instead of shooting Kaba BEFORE Kaba rammed into him with a two ton car, the officer should have waited until AFTER he'd been crushed and killed. That would've worked, right? Right? Yeah all good.

@leighannclements7849 Your comment is too long. I'm not going to read it. Keep comments short or don't bother.

Tony wynn You didn't get shot and killed by armed coppers either? Are you w*1te? There are people who'll claim you've benefitted from systemic racial privilege. "See this white guy was stopped by the cops and didn't get shot. Yet a career criminal who's done time and threatens the lives of coppers gets murdered for nuthin".

@andersongooding6703 Duggan threw the weapon over the hedge into the field beyond. Career criminals should surrender to the police, not run. I've been arrested on two or three occasions, and I wouldn't necessarily trust the coppers either. Coppers who hesitate might end their shift in a hospital or a pine box, as per the two coppers stabbed in Leicester Square a few days ago. A career criminal might outrun armed coppers, but not their bullets.

@bonsummers2657 The Bird?

@andersongooding6703 As a white bloke, I myself could be shot dead by the police if I do dangerous things. Please Google the shooting of Stephen Waldorf during the 1980s. We need the cops to be cautious about opening fire. We need to investigate EVERY shooting, in case the cop was trigger-happy, as with the Waldorf shooting. From the information revealed to date, the shooting of Kaba appears justified. It appears this shooting had nothing to do with race.

@bonsummers2657 Sorry, when I see "Word" I think of Peter Griffin.

@raquirella2542 Both you and I distrust the police. But I'm certain it was clear to the victimthat he'd been stopped by the police during the minute before the shooting. The only reasons he might've had for driving through the police are: (1.) He wanted to escape the cops, or - (2.) He assumed he was surrounded by rival drug dealers.

@ukcomicjunkie7433 I'm pleased the cops carefully investigated the matter. The white journalist Stephen Waldorf was shot by a cop in the 1980s in a case of mistaken identity. The next victim could be you or I. Bringing charges doesn't necessarily indicate he's likely to be guilty. Sometimes a trial in public can clear the air and leaves zero doubt as to guilt or none. A cop's anonymity must be maintained unless he's found guilty. Otherwise there might be vengeful rioting vigilantes at his door.
