  1. Older cars such as my 1958 Austin are exempt from ULEZ charges. I could drive in and out of these zones all day long without paying a penny. But don't ditch your Ford Focus yet. The expense of running a classic Morris or Hillman to avoid the ULEZ charges means you wouldn't actually save any money. We won't see the morning traffic queues filled with Zephyrs and Victors. But it'd be nice if they were.
