I've got a business premises. I'm sick of every fecker parking on my small private freehold car park as if they own it, so that neither my clients nor I can access it. Asking them politely to move their car results in loads of four-letter abuse and threats of violence. So I signed up to a company called Flashpark (others are available). For an annual fee, they provide lots of clear signage stating that anybody who parks without permission will be charged £100 per day. If somebody parks on my small car park without permission, I photograph their car and send the image to Flashpark. They access DVLA and send the car's keeper a bill for £100. Another unnecessary expense for my small business, but it's better than angry blokes yelling at me to eff off or they'll beat my head in.
