@maxpaws3977 A warrant can be acquired via a chief constable. Another law brought in on the quiet by Blair, in 2004. And we all looked the other way.

@Thoughts_from_a_Small_Island As I understand it, this was described as a "pre-crime raid". Fox had praised the ULEZ blade runners and said he wouldn't mind joining them. On that basis, imagine if some parents beat up a paedophile who'd abused a child. You said that in their position, you'd do the same thing. That would be sufficient for the cops to acquire a warrant from a chief constable (not necessarily a judge since 2004) and raiding your house. Speak your opinion out loud and it's a "pre-crime" offence.

Fox praised the ULEZ blade runners and mentioned he wouldn't mind doing the same himself. An offhand comment gets your house raided. If I said, "I don't blame parents for hitting a paedophile who's abused their child and I'd do the same myself", my home could be raided as well.

THEY'LL COME FOR YOU NEXT, TIM.

@gordonstrong5232 Yeah, that's what they assumed in Hitler's Germany. Everybody assumed they were safe, because the Nazis only oppressed the Jews. And then the communists. And then the gays. And the trade unionists. And the non-Nazi politicians. And the jazz musicians who used the "high C" note. Nah, no slippery slope.

@swanvictor887 Damned right. As with the Lockdown, it's about control, not liberty. A boot grinding into our face, forever. Few of us realise this because the boot has a velvet cover and smiley faces drawn on it. It's all for our own safety and security.
