  29. Here's why Operations George / Michael failed (funny combination of names). 1.) Germany's excellent Stormtroopers suffered serious casualties and became exhausted. 2.) Germany couldn't resupply over the battlefield. No roads. The infantry outpaced their artillery. 3.) The British Army had become very proficient and counterattacked against exhausted Germans. Lots of other reasons, which no doubt somebody will add.
