  2.  @medler2110  Being small has advantages. It makes a sailor a smaller target. Most champion motor cyclists are small. Advantages in terms of their power to weight ratio and a lower centre of gravity.

  4. Agreed, but by that point the die had already been cast. It was impossible for the flagship to issue orders to the far end of the line. It could be said the battle was won decades before. The British industrial revolution ensured the RN's guns were superior to those of the French. French guns could only fire two rounds in the time the British could fire three.
