  1. I've read (dunno whether it's true) that Emperor Nero caused the Iceni rebellion in Britannia. Nero needed resources to rebuild Rome and create his new palace, and called in all his debts. Roman generals in Britannia needed to cough up funds for Nero and called in their own loans. The British Iceni chieftain was pro-Roman and had borrowed. He died, his widow Boudica was held responsible for the debt and couldn't pay. So she was whipped, her daughters were raped and it all kicked off. Fekkin WEF.
