  2.  @SouthernGothicYT  Funny but true story: Back in the 1950s, the Queen Mother (mother of the UK's present Queen) was on a visit to South Africa. She was introduced to a line of senior persons. One old Afrikaaner waited for his turn. As the Queen Mum arrived, he said, "I've never forgiven the English for what they did to my people". This could have been a huge break in protocol, but the Queen Mum replied, "We Scots know exactly what you mean".
