Comments by "Ray Purchase" (@raypurchase801) on "The Significance of the Domesday Book" video.
"Domesday" in this context means "judgement" as in "judgement for tax liability", not "doom" as in "We're doomed, doomed".

@hamishdempster5209 That was my understanding, and the Book's Wiki page appears to confirm it. Both definitions fit, so perhaps it was a deliberate 11th century pun.

The Domesday Book is the sequel to the Anglo Saxon Chronicle. Sort of.

@count69 Thankyou for your comment, which I value. The Book's Wiki page claims the word comes from the Latin word for "judgement". It appears BOTH meanings fit very well. I don't claim either YOUR definition or MINE are in/correct. It's really nice to receive contrary arguments without abuse. How very unlike YouTube.

@greatscott369 I heard that in Private Frazier's voice.

@Skippinnfliplin Yee Haw! - with Stewie Griffin's accent.

The Domesday Book reveals how William's ride through the north of England left villages erased to the ground. The modern-day census reveals how white people are being ethnically-cleansed out of northern cities. Hence the government's delay in releasing some of the figures. EDIT - CAN ANYONE SEE THIS COMMENT? I'm often shadow-banned.

Yeah 'cos of your white privilege and systemic waycism. The BBC said so.

@AliAlexRG Yeah but the BBC didn't know that.

@differous01 I click on Replies and yours disappears. You've triggered something in YouTube's algorithms, which means you've used a phrase they regard as hate speech. Regard yourself as lucky. William the Bastard would've had your tongue cut out. YouTube only hides your comment.
