  1. The term "Anglo Saxon" is frequently misunderstood. The term tends to be used to differentiate between England in the pre- and post- 1066 eras. The Anglish had been English since Alfred.

  12. English soldiers during the 100 Years War were known as the Goddams. Because the French couldn't understand what the English were saying but they repeatedly said "God damn". A few years ago, English in some parts of Spain became known as fuckoffs for the same reason. Coarse language is useful for adding emphasis.
