  1. Scanning people for concealed weapons, as in the movie "Total Recall". Plus face-scanning by cameras. Virtually all the weapons are carried by persons of a specific background. Wouldn't it be better to just cease importing people from societies where knives and machetes are commonly carried?

  2.  @lendipuppa8741  One culture is predominant in knife crime. Most of the victims, most of the perpetrators. It tends not to be people leaving synagogues or east Asians (Koreans, Chinese etc.) No point in stopping and searching elderly women. Nearly always one specific gender, one specific age group, one specific cultural background.
