  1. Goering's favourite air base was Gutersloh. He had a giant model railway system built in a large room for his own enjoyment. He also had a lounge with cables connected to furniture and ornaments. When drinking with colleagues, his trick was to surreptitiously pull some levers which made the furniture and ornaments move around the room. Goering would sit there as if nothing had happened. He was amused to see confusion among his colleagues.
