Nigel has always needed to tread a very narrow line. I recall him on the BBC's "Have I Got News For You", routinely parodied as a f4r r1ght neo-N4z1. He laughed it off. It would be very easy for Nigel to use an ill-judged phrase or word which would see his reputation destroyed, and there's NOBODY who could replace him.
