FUN FACT ABOUT CHAMPAGNE: It's over rated. A sparkling wine from the Champagne region has three times the value of an identical wine from a few miles down the road, even if it's very poor quality. In blind-taste tests, equivalent wines from Australia and Italy taste as good or better than Champagne, but they're only one third of the price. My advice: Buy Aussie sparkling wines instead.

@kathyflorcruz552 Extending the dialogue. Good advice is free. You've learned something which perhaps you previously didn't know. A leading British wine-writer revealed this in a newspaper in the 1990s. He was blacklisted by every French wine organisation and never invited to tastings and events again. But the Italians and Australians loved him.
