That whole system is corrupt. If you go and report a crime the police want a bribe before they'll do anything, then they'll go to the criminal and demand a bribe from them to not arrest them, it's that corrupt.
A Romanian whom wants to register to get a rental in a city gets confronted by the government agencies that are there to help them but the staff demand a bribe, then one's you get the apartment the local registry agent demands another bribe as does the building manager.
It doesn't stop there, because just getting your utilities reconnected, you need to bribe the Electrician, the Plummer, the Internet guy, etc, etc, etc, it's that ingrained into the culture that petty bribery is seen as completely normal over there.
If you want to change anything regarding corruption in Romania you need to be very patient and have long term view, otherwise, forget about that perticular crusade, you'll go insane before you ever get anywhere with that on all levels of the Romanian society.

If Australia kept it's original Western given name by the people that found it from the West it would have been New Holland today, having to do 0 with us Dutch, might have got confusing.
And if New York did the same, it would still be called New Amsterdam,....again, confusing.
New Zealand at least has a spelling difference between the Dutch Province after which it was named Nieuw Zeeland, but being called Kiwi's is great, keeps the confusion out of it.
Don't know how the Australians in Arnhemland are called though, hope it's not the same as in the Dutch city of Arnhem.
Anyway, the Tazmanian's are only called after the Dutchman Abel Tasman, no province luckily no confusion.
I agree with the name change of FYROM, it's a good solution, they are Slavic not Greek and not related to Alexander the Great.

Every country is a target of Russia,....but of China and the USA aswell.
The difference is, Russia is honest about its stance where the USA "our supposed ally" is spying on our EU leadership, tapping their phones and even having IMSI sweapers around every European countries Embassy's, going as far as to use vehicles with these systems on board riding around in Brussels, Berlin, Paris and Strassburg.
With friends like that, who needs enemies.
The USA is low key opposing any forming of an fully integrated and operational EU Military, those aren't the actions of "an ally".
Now if China and Russia undertake similar actions that is logical and expected, their stance is clear, but what's the USA's excuse ?!

Well, we do know that the UK uses its academia's as both recruiters and spies internationally for MI6, this is not news.
It's also very common knowledge that MI6 use both domestic and sympathetic foreigners especially from a commonwealth background academia's as agitators overseas, this again is a very commonly known modus operandi of the UK.
He probably used spy craft and that got noticed after he was already on their radar as a possible,...that might have given him away to the UAE secret service.
It's not far fetched to think he got caught doing exactly what they have arrested and convicted him for,...spying.
It's getting ever harder out there because other nations secret services are also training their agents to a higher degree and the recruits are of a higher calibre then they used to be in that sensitive area of the globe.
They together with some new tech toys are very capable of exposing a foreign spy way faster than they use too be able to in the not so distant past.
1 British or commonwealth academia,...mmmh, possible.
2 Has inserted/insinuated himself/herself into an influential/elite core group directly or indirectly,...mmmh, getting warmer, must look deeper.
3 Native English speaker but has 2 or more languages they master to a high degree,...definitely fishy, getting hotter.
4 Cambridge or Oxford educated with an upper middle class or elite background 🚨⬅arrest immediately❗
5 Studied or has good friends in the USA,...might be a handler or some sort of ranking MI6 agent,...let's wait and see what comes crawling his/her way.
Sure you might be wrong,...but an IMSI sweep is very revealing, to fill in those blanks a bit faster ; ).
That, and noticing sombody using spy craft is a nail in most spy's coffins,...see, not that hard ; ).
Don't worry,...there will be a swap of some sort eventually, but he's been degreased and now a very shiny object.

Well, you don't hear a clear message from them either, there have been many occasions in Europe after an attack by muslim fundamentalist that the moderate muslim population in Europe could have shown any real concern on a large scale and go into dialogue with the native European's!
This happens time and time again, no real mass attendance during any puplic march against this type of aggression has any real moderate muslim presence, to the point it becomes comical for news camera's to spot the few muslims in the crowd!
But when we start to comment on that most imams working in mosks in Europe don't speak the local language or understand the local culture of that European country they are in and are not vetted by the local government of that country we are bombarded by muslims commenting that we should mind our own business, suddenly they (the muslim) find a collective voice, this is the case when they are afraid of how they are seen by us as well!
Now were are the moderate integrated muslims now?Not on the street's, not engaging in dialogue with the European citizens, not in any real numbers at any march against this extremist aggression, not openly condemning any of it!But they are complaining about there headscarf's, that we want to see them police themselves more, that imams need to be vetted by the local government and speak the local languages, that we want imams to be trained in Europe not outside of it and how they themselves are seen by us European's!
If they want us to let them be part of the greater European story, they themselves have to start acting like European's, food for thought i'd say!

Too little too late and not sincere in any stretch of the imagination.
It's ridiculous that people living in the UK from early childhood stemming mostly from commonwealth countries have to deal with this in any way, they are owed UK citizenship simply by the place of their birth in the former UK colonies, not to mention that immigrant's from outside the British realm can achieve British citizenship after living, working and paying tax for a decade making the treatment of this part of the British population even more ridiculous and scandalous then it already was.
Mind you,...other European countries with an prolific colonial past don't treat their citizens from their respective former commonwealth countries in this manner. These people are afforded full citizenship from the outset, countries like France, The Netherlands, Belgium, Portugal and Spain have a much better track record on this.
Hence it's even more shocking to learn how the UK treats 2nd and 3rd generations descendants of these commonwealth "immigrant's" to the UK in that same disgusting manner as they do the 1st generation.
The message is and has been these many decade's that:" We will take your labour, your tax, your innovation, your youths contribution to the state, your service to the British armed forces but don't expect to be treated as an equal in Britain's society because, that is simply not cricket old boy."
One word,..... disgusting. ❗

You didn't include the deplorable comments the investigating police officer wrote on his Facebook right after the murder/assassination,...he referred to her as cow dung and that she deserved this,...ended by him stating that he's feeling happy,...WTF?!
Arrest that man,....but not mentioning that huge news nugget is weird Euronews!
Btw, they should kick those FBI agent back to Yankville USA,...it's European territory and we've got Europol to do this, work together sure,...under them, no f***ing way, it's fishy too because the Maltese Prime-Minister wants to bring then in but he's heavily involved in this himself.

I seriously doubt it. It's just the continuation of the corruption from the ANC, they've just managed to buy themselves some time. Soon you'll see some minor changes, most one's will be the very obvious ones but it will stay theoretical and on paper, especially if it's contrary to the ANC's elite hold on power or gets the rest of them closer to being prosecuted for corruption themselves.
A few big stages, lots of music with some heads of the party doing a little dans, a few hopeful words will be spoken, more soundbites then anything els, they wait until the dust settles and it's back to business as usual soon after that.
They expect the masses that voted for the ANC in the past, masses that are habitually politically ignorant and low schooled/illiterate to buy into it by doing one big project right only for their core base of course, they'll get the camera's in and broadcast it 24/7 for month's so it sticks with these people and voila, another decade slipped by.
It's all blatant Cleptocracy and Nepotism at the ANC with a very thin veneer of the legendary Madiba to cover it all.

All because the Hungarian President is cozy with the Russian President the propaganda machine go's into overdrive to depict every Hungarian as an evil bloodsucking xenophobic fascist.
Sure Hungary has its problems, a few i disagree with the Hungarian's about too, but we all have these fringe nutjobs running around our own countries don't we,....in the Kingdom of the Netherlands we've got Geert Wilders of the PVV (party for freedom) but we Dutch invented liberal equalitarian politics and our society reflects that.
This all,....it's a storm in a glass of water, but Yank's want us to believe it's "the end of days" because they don't like the Russian's, well, we in Europe aren't the natural friend or enemy of either, we choose our own path, we don't appreciate manipulation of either and it should count against them,....the Yank's are very hard at work at manipulation,...proven btw. (the hacking and spying on our European leader by the US,...remember;)

In order to compete with the well designed, efficient and safe Airbus A320Neo, Boeing together with the FAA that practically grandfathered in their approval on anything Boeing conspired to cut some major corners in regards to airframe and aircraft safety to get their Boeing 737 MAX 7, 8 and 9 out as fast as possible.
They were woefully behind on designing something that could even compete with the Airbus A320Neo in any stretch of the imagination and knew it, hence, afraid of their market shares, they rushed to find an awnser and rushed this Max series onto the market regardless of the untested airframes additions.
They quickly added a bigger and heavier engine to the 737, this posed a huge problem, but they wanted to compete with Airbus so, safety was thrown to the wind and they bolted it on regardless.
They found out it would only work with repositioning the big heavy engines not designed for this airframe severly forward on the wing, posing a danger to operation of the aircraft, but hey, Boeing wanted to secure its market share, safety was not their first or second concern here.
Now the nose tended to want to tilt up because of the outlandisly ridiculous forward placement of these bigger heavier engines not designed for the aircraft and the wings itself couldn't support it.
So, the wings got a quick fix addition, sold to us as "a new tech energy saving solution",...cough bollox cough, and they just continued on with their highly irresponsible shenanigans at Boeing aided in doing so by the FAA.
Now they knew something was badly wrong with it and just secretly without telling even the pilots that had to operate the Boeing 737 Max, software was updated twice to try and compensate for the aircrafts dangerous flight characteristics.
Two major crashes with deadly results in 5 months and still Boeing together with its co-conspirator the FAA pretended "all was quiet on the western front" nothing to see here, move along.
Even the USA pretended nothing was wrong and they took Boeing and the FAA's word for it,....we were told to do the same.
The US was the last country to ground the dangerous aircraft of Boeing.
Now we are to believe that it needs a few minor tweaks, while the whole aircraft should actually be redesigned from the ground up, not to mention the last minor tweaks cost lives, and all's well again,....cough bollox cough.
No more Boeing or FAA certified aircraft for me,...I'll only fly Airbus and EU certified airframes from now on.

The man is an idealist,....nothing wrong with that but he became completely unreasonable and unrealistic in his demands from the start.
Nobody liked what had to happen in Greece, but previous Greek Governments made a complete mess of things not planning for the future of the country but their immediate short term elections and staying in power at all cost, even if that meant a severe economic downturn in the future, thinking, it was the next administration's problem.
Especially the Tax system is a complete joke in Greece, it's still common to rent or buy something with a recept or without, cheating every Greek out of a future, but no, blame the foreigners for trying to get Greece back on track, definitely don't go looking for the real problem in the Greek system and mentality.
It's not going to work if the vast Greek civil service isn't reformed drastically and the Tax office is really going to go after every Greek that cheats on their Tax, because it's so rampant it's going to fail the Greek economy again in the future.
Don't look to others, and definitely don't try to blame others, this one was entirely of your own making Greece, the sooner to own up to that the faster you can recover from it and reform.

B. Ghould We do,...all the most rich and powerful American's are Dutch families,...the van Buren, Roosevelt, Stuyversand, Prins, Vos, Koch, Beets, etc, etc.
We invented modern Capitalism and founded Wallstreet the first Company shares you could buy were of the Dutch VOC,...not to mention founding New Amsterdam now New York, etc, etc.
A small country that beat the UK twice and put a Dutch Prince of the House of Oranje-Nassau on the British thrown as their King occupied London and Britain completely, not to mention had an Empire that included: Indonesia, Timor, Sri-Lanka, Surinam, South-Africa, Rodesia, the Dutch-Antilles, South Netherlands (now Kingdom of Belgium), Luxembourg (now the Grant-Duchy Luxembourg), Orange (French town), Nassau-Dillenburg (German town), Nassau islands (now part of the US), New Amsterdam (now New York), parts of Brazil, few Chinese islands, one Japanese island and got to do business with them while the rest got kicked out for 400 years exclusively.
Found Australia called it New Holland then but we weren't interested, found New Zealand after our province Nieuw Zeeland, New Arnhemland after our Dutch city Arnhem and Tasmania after Abel Tasman, etc.
While the US needed France help to defeat the British we Dutch fought a war a few centuries before that against Spain and Portugal on our own for 80 years and won.
You are right, we do know a thing or two about masters,....so do you.

He wants to give international businesses big tax breaks to attract them.
He wants to simplify investment checks and balances from the Government for these companies to set up businesses in Armienia and invest.
That means he will have to give too many concessions to them in a legal sence and those will impact environmental law's but also in the law in general.
He's making the very same mistake the US made 5 decade's ago.
It will encourage criminal money being funnelled into fronts posing as bonafide businesses in order to launder money, it will encourage big polluters to set up shop there circumventing other nations environmental law's, eventually leading to an environmental crisis and maybe embargo's on certain products made in Armienia.
It will encourage businesses that don't like social labour law's and salaries to set up shop in Armienia, etc, etc.
This won't be a problem for the country because of the already rampant corruption on all levels and devastating poverty will be mitigated on the short to medium term.
But eventually it will all come back to haunt them in the long term future a few generations from now.
For now it will seem as a virtual candy shop for the Armienian population, but eventually the salaries won't rise equally to inflation and the housing prices will start to increase in the city's pushing younger people out of them, not to mention financially less capable families.
With the already omnipresent blatant corruption culture on all levels present in Armenia this won't end well.
Get ready for a banking crisis in about 20 years from now in Armenia, probably a housing and employment crisis aswell, setting of a political crisis as a result.
The reality is, he's got no choice, that's the most disturbing fact.
Ooh, and Russia holds enormous sway over the Armienian population and it's political and military cultures, that too comes with the territory.
And who is going to want to invest the money for all the necessary infrastructure ?
Yep, China.

The man is a clown,....a corrupt one at that, don't build him up to be some kind of mythical hero of Russia, he isn't.
He's got a small following in Moskou and St Petersburg that's it, the people you see on the street are from his party, not supporters that suddenly joined up, it's the same group of people everytime at every location,...that together with some cool camera close ups makes it look much larger then it actually is.
They get amplified in Western media only because he's not Putin and they don't support Putin,...really that's it, he's got no serious following in any other part in Russia besides Moskou and St Petersburg.
There are serious contenders that actually do have a serious and large following in Russia but they aren't what the West or its media want either,....one a super Nationalistic/proto Fascist party and the other a Communist party.
Yeah sure, there one other but she's a TV personality and a bit out there,...has 0 political thoughts of her own and only interested in pure narcissistic self promotion of her person a clown just like the other guy only more people like her stuff but not the idea of her in politics or ruling Russia.
I'm afraid it's going to be 6 more years of President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin.

It could be the Ukrainians,...the capacity to do this and in an exact way as the Russian's would is hugely probable.
Motive for the Ukraine could be that the timing is perfect,....Football in Russia, damaging the Russian image, getting more embargo's on Russia and getting one over on Putin.
It could be the Belarussians, they too possess the same techniques as the Russian FSB, and he's burned a few Belarus KGB spies too in the process of narking on the Russian FSB agents,...so there's your motive right there.
It could be another state agent provocateur behind it with extensive knowledge on Russian techniques,....this could easily be an MI5, MI6, CIA or NSA agent,...the motive would be exactly the same as the Ukrainians.
And even if it's an active Russian FSB or former FSB/KGB agent, the motive might be private,....like revenge not sanctioned or ordered by the Russian Federation or its leader Mr Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin.
Heck, this dude was dodgy AF, it could have easily been a Russian/Ukrainian/Serbian/Belarussian/Kazakhstani/Chechen, etc, etc Mafia member,....remember, most of those have former KGB agents among their ranks that have the means to do this and the knowledge.
So, even if you were able to prove it was a nerve agent and that the perticular nerve agent can only be acquired in Russia or has its original formula originating from either the Russian Federation or the former Soviet Union you've essentially proven nothing,....not a thing.
Not to mention that the UK is full of exiled Russian Oligarchs that have stolen vast amounts of money from the Russian people and the Russian Federation,...they too can have a motive and employ former FSB/KGB agents as "privat security", by the way he was living he could have stepped on any of their ranks toes, a hit/assassination from any of them will look like this.
See, a plethora of reasons and state or non state actors might be behind this,....it could even be a murder suicide act in the end,...hysterically yelling RUSSIA is severly premature at best,...disingenuous and subversive at its worst.
I've seen 0 evidence that it was the Russian's and even less evidence that Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin was behind it,....we are meant to see this though a perticular narrative filter that's already disturbing enough, but one's media is pushing that same narrative then I'm getting alarmed.
And i'm not saying that in end the Russian's might not have done it, it could absolutely be the case they did and even that Mr Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin personally ordered the assassination, ....but you haven't proven it, i see no evidence of anything besides the facts and those are opaque AF.

Carles Puigdemont is a clown, a dangerous divisive clown. He doesn't want to recognise that he didn't win, because the narcissistic clown can't/won't see that, it's not in his nature to do so.
The unionist have over 50% of the vote and in "his" separatist movement there's no unity, it's very fragmented. An considerable part 1/3 of them want a more separate Catalonia with more independent powers from Spain and Madrid but still don't desire a fully separate Catalonia as a fully sovereign state, he's never in the foreseeable future going to have an independent sovereign Catalonia, not in his lifetime or that of his children's grandkids.
But the narcissistic clown wanted us all to believe he had it in his hands, he knew he didn't, but we were meant to believe he did. When that didn't work he took to a Coup d'etat attempt, completely setting aside that the vast majority of Catalans didn't want it.
Now he's fermenting ties to Belgian separatist, nice of him to disrespect the sovereign nation of Belgium like that even though they harbour him from prosecution there, what a guest he's turned out to be.
The sooner they deliver this little megalomaniac to Madrid the better, because the theatre act 🎭he's putting up is repetitive and unimaginative as is the case with every proto-dictator.

Nigel Johnson It's no more a historic unity fermented though a common background then the UK.
Although in most cases it went trough Royal Marriages and a shared history this is not the case for the USA, that is a conglomerate of states without a real history or people, it's still trying and these # get more prominent by the day on the interwebs:
#TEXIT.
#JerseyExit.
#DelawareExit.
#HawaiiExit.
#LouisianaExit.
#CaliExit.
#SeattleExit.
In the UK the SNP wants Scotland to be independent and sovereign,....and Northern-Ireland is seriously considering joining the Irish Republic under certain circumstances might they arise , how long will the Welsh keep going after that I wonder ?
In Australia Queensland seeks independence,....WTF 😕⁉
I'm not in the business of trampling on people's rights, but they need to adhere to the laws and agreements, but most of all, they need to know what it really is going to mean for them to do anything drastically different, because in reality it's just that "drastically" and "different", not necessarily a good or positive thing for them.
Blindley following people like Nigel Farage, Puigdemont, Geert Wilders, Marine Le Pen, etc, etc leads absolutely nowhere, these people don't have "a plan" for after, they just want power for power sake, at your cost no less.
You'll find these characters in every country praying on every small division and making it bigger then it really is, they are political predators, pure opportunist and only the blind and braindead follow these people to oblivion by sanctifying them.

I might be naïve but, the people living there can't possibly not know what these Jihadist, these Saudi inspired ISIS members were up to in and around Marawi city in the years before all this started.
I've seen many videos and media outlets with radical Saudi Sunni Wahabist tendencies report (positively mind you) on how these terrorist walk around there openly, armed to the teeth, and preaching radical Sunni Saudi Wahabism in the streets, restaurants, businesses, Mosk's and any other gathering they could intersect themselves into.
They see them walk around, they know where they hang out, they must know who they are and where they live even their habits (probably on an individual basis aswell) must not have gone unnoticed to the majority of Marawi and the surrounding areas population.
With mobile phones everywhere⬅(yes, even there) they⬅(the population) could have called the Philippine authorities, even send them pictures and video of these radical Sunni Saudi inspired Terrorist individual's, and i'm sure they'd even know the family of this person/persons,....so, i'm completely at a loss as to why they (in general) never alerted the Philippine authorities themselves before all this would (and it always does btw) go wrong and escalate into a death cult getting an iron grip on the region and start bloody murder on a mass scale there.
I hope they've learned that this death cult inspired by Saudi-Arabia has no future benefits for them,....see the ruined city, economy and the murderous death ISIS cults regime, it leads to nothing but destruction on every level of their society.
But to claim,..."i didn't know" or "I had no idea who they were" by most people there in and around Marawi is quite frankly,..... complete bollox.

Its political theatre🎭 on the part of N-VA.
They lost quite a few votes in the regional elections recently to "Vlaams Belang" a rightwing extremist party and the Belgian Green party has grown substantially in that election aswell.
But the N-VA until now was part of the coalition government and they needed to compromise in order to remain there, something they had no trouble doing until the recent outcome of these regional election results that were very positive for the growth of the rightwing party "Vlaams Belang".
This concerns them because they've got a crossover voter population with N-VA that is quite considerable and the main elections aren't that far of in the future.
Making a big stink about their Prime-Minister Charles Michelle going on behalf of Belgium to Marrakesch only to ratify an intention declaration concerning global immigration/immigrant's/migration and is a non binding agreement that only stipulates the intention of cooperation and the sharing of real world work methods in dealing with a crisis if and when they occur in regards to migration is of course ridiculous.
The N-VA wanted it clear that the Belgian Prime-Minister only went to Marrakesch as his own person or as Prime-Minister not on behalf of Belgium and it's government,....see, it already looks like political theatre🎭 doesn't it.
Just before they made this ridiculous demand and a big stink about nothing⬅(it's an intention of cooperation not a signed treaty, big difference) the N-VA put out a disgustingly xenophobic media campaign that clearly demonised immigrant's and people of colour,....it got pulled after one day and the N-VA whom aren't traditionally known for that behaviour made excuses about "it all being a big mistake and miscommunication" ;).
Of course this was just to appeal to the normally rightwing "Vlaams Belang" voters and to keep their own N-VA voters whom might flirt with the idea of voting for "Vlaams Belang" because they have concerns about immigration and immigrant's with them, at least until the next main election.
Suddenly, after a good cooperation between the 3 parties in the coalition government the N-VA wanted all this and for Prime-Minister Charles Michelle to do the same thing in the upcoming UN top regarding this topic,....more political theatre🎭 right there on the part of the N-VA.
The N-VA has proven the stigma they carry in Belgium,....it's a party you can't rule a country with because sooner or later their shenanigans will become a problem,....and that plays straight into the hands of Philip de Winter the leader of the Belgian xenophobic rightwing party "Vlaams Belang", he's loving every minute of this.
It will severly damage Belgium's international reputation for many years to come.

Even when it was clear that this was a deadly pandemic, the Italian's kept going everywhere meeting everybody doing everything as if nothing was wrong.
All members of the EU started to close their borders and put up checkpoints, not so the Italian's, with the consequence that it spread from the North of Italy to even my country, because they allowed unchecked tourist to go out back to their home counties carrying the virus.
The average Italian was warned that being in very close contact was stupendously irresponsible and dangerous, but they ignored that completely and remained very tactile in their daily interactions regardless.
We've all seen the Italian Mayors losing it on all kinds of media outlets and platforms even irl, because their citizens just wouldn't listen and kept going out, meeting everybody and not observing even the slightest safety guidelines habitually.
Every stricken country in the EU now observes a very well thought trough buffer period, now the first signs of this pandemic possibly flattening are tentatively showing slight positive signs and keeping their citizens under the same strickt isolation guidelines as "before".
Not so in the most hardly hit country in the EU, because the Italian's now tell their citizens to go out, have a walk with your family, including the children,...way to prematurely, especially in their perticular situation.
Discipline ⬅ definitely a foreign word to the Italian's.

Let's not pretend here that she wants her son to be her successor, neither do the bulk of the British public want that for a plethora of reasons. Most don't want Camilla to be their Queen consort and blame Charles for Princess Diana's death.
The British Parlement has been aware of these sentiments for decade's now, and some members even share that sentiment themselves including members of the House of Lords.
Stack that up with the British publics bad reaction of the current Monarch of Britain and her lack of empathy on the death of Diana, the debacle with Fergie asking for large sums of money from Businesses and Media to give them access to her ex husband Prince Andrew and getting caught on camera doing so.
Talking about Prince Andrew,....his problem and the subsequent cover up on his behalf by the government of him having regular sex with minors, girls mostly from Eastern Europe exploited by gangs that have enslaved them as sex slaves, he had sex with girls under 15 year old regularly.
The regular contact between Prince Andrew and high level criminals was good for some headlines too,...these were gun, drug and people smuggling mafia types that enslaved young girls for the sex industry aswell.
It came to light that Charles private agricultural businesses were all tax exempt and not profitable. It took the British public by suprise to hear that Billions of pounds were put in it to keep it afloat, money that came from the British tax payer while the NHS was suffering and had 2 people die everyday of the lack of food and water. But Charles meanwhile just kept boasting: "he needed no money from public because he was doing so well;)".
Their father Prince Philip von Battenbürg (Mountbatton;) only added on the negative sentiment of most towards the British Monarchy with his regular bigoted remarks, calling black people "spearchuckers" , etc, yes, an delightful display of racism on an habitual bases of this Royal.
The dust didn't even get time to settle before Prince William and the then Prime-Minister David Cameron got into a spot of bother while trying to bribe African officials to vote for London in its bid to get the Olympic games there.
And let us not forget how the Lord Spencer openly blamed the Windsor's for his sister Diana's death at her funeral while he gave that speech, most 30+ British remember that one well, not to mention Camilla being the sneaky mistress of Charles, that is was most people remember.
Fun fact: Camilla wasn't the first in her family to be a mistress to a British Royal.
This upcoming marriage between Prince Harry and the American actress Megan Markle couldn't come at the better time, it's good PR for the Windsor's, hope they keep Prince Philip away from her before he calls her a "spearchucker" and ruins her big day.

Yes you most definitely are a vassal state UK, it only depends on who's vassal you end up to be. If you want to keep your economy healthy to some degree and some free travel of business, professionals, trade, etc you'll end up an EU vassal.
If you go for populist and wanting to be seen as moderately influential still, you'll end up an American vassal state, that would be an continuation of the road you've already set upon now, the Yank's call it:"shooting yourself in the foot" and they'll love nothing more then to be the master's of their one's great overlord, it will be sweet revenge for you burning down their Whitehouse one's.
Can you imagine, the UK being the 51st state, can't fall deeper than that Brits, it's rock bottom.
Choice is yours,....to some degree of course ; ). Delenda est Cartago

Nigel Johnson I don't agree with that first part, been to the Kingdom plenty of times across all its regions,....Spain lives in most people, it's more a fringe movement that opposes the unity of Spain.
And the most prominent of them Catalonia has a legal democratic way to leave, Puigdemont choose not to use it because he couldn't win, he opted instead for a coup d'etat attempt, his only real way to what he wanted.
His and all the other separatist movements in Catalonia cheat aswell.
They give the voting public in rural sparsely populated area's twice the votes a system that undemocratically keeps them in play, it's the same system the Japanese party uses to keep Shinzo Abbe in power with all the negative consequences of that, this will be the future of an independant Catalonia too if Puigdemont gets his way, nothing democratic or representative about it.
And if he succeeded in his attempt the EU couldn't have obliged because of article 55 to get them into the EU in any meaningful way, leaving Catalonia open to austerity,....all things the English Nigel Farage forgot to mention to the British population awell, Puigdemont would have done the same to devastating consequences as a result.

Mike Pence is a cult member of the Evangelicals.
They believe in something that's called "the rapture",...when that happens Christ comes back to earth. (nowhere in scripture is it referenced, but hey, cults;)
For that to happen the Evangelical cultists believe all "the Jews" first need to return to Israel.
Hence this radical cultist believe is what drives him in his hawkish stance towards Iran and Palastinia.
Don't get him wrong though,...they aren't really pro Jew's, no. (although one might be forgiven to think so)
Because in that radically outlandisly weird idea of Christ comming to earth (preceded by this alleged rapture event) he'll deal with "the unholy eternal Jew"⬅that's quite the plot twist ey ;).
And of course these cultists Evangelicals inherit the earthly paradise,....duh xD. (Like you didn't see that comming a mile away;)
Mike Pompeo is a member of the Evangelical cult too, yep, another Mike.
In his acceptance speech for his office he mentioned:" It's nice to be amongst people that believe what i believe"⬅verbatim,....and Yikes 😲⁉
Trump's base is mostly Evangelical,....yes, Yikes 😲 again.
Just for context.

That will be an unfair election either way because, in Japan the LDP party of Shinzo Abbe has the upper hand against any challenge to their rule.
The LDP has been in power by the weirdest rule ever (one they made btw), votes from the countryside and smaller towns count twice vs a vote from anywhere els, and that so happens to be the LDP's power base😉. It's staunch core voters are 80% from those areas making any challenges against them a severe uphill battle for any challenger under any circumstances.
She'll need to convince the majority of those voters to vote her way,...near impossible to do.
People from major cities in Japan know this, that's why their youth is so apathetic in regards to voting in Japan because they know that change, real change, comes from educated young voters and those tend to live in the major cities not the rural areas and small towns in Japan.
Things don't seem to change really in those areas because the political infrastructure the LDP has setup there during the many decade's is enshrined into their rural and small town culture, even their rural and small town youth just automatically vote's on what their parents and grandparents vote aka the LDP party of Shinzo Abbe and do so blindly.
Shinzo Abbe just needs to keep his scheep in line (without expending great effort), she'll need a herculean effort just to have them move a bit over a prolonged period, let alone enough so she can be voted in as the next Japanese Prime-Minister.
Now Shinzo Abbe isn't all that popular anymore, especially after the revision of ART 9 in Japanese self defence law's, not to mention the Fukoshima disaster with the Nuclear power station and how the LDP has been and are still lying about its effects on the environment,...still she'll need great effort to move these voters, he's practically impervious to her challenge. (even after the Japanese Crown-Prince let it slip that, he's no fan of Shinzo Abbe)
Maybe the threat of the boy King Kim Young Un from the hermit Kingdom of North-Korea might have swayed some voter because Abbe's rhetoric and action's have made some Japanese nervous on that, definitely in combination with the now revised ART 9, who knows, but I'll be surprised if she manages to pull it off, so would he btw, because he's looking quite relaxed about it all, he's got every reason to be.

bittercottoncandy One can want one's country to be safe for all the right reasons and do so in a whole plethora of ways that doesn't viciously vilify "the other".
Orban has yet to discover how to, but he immediately went for all the wrong reasons and in the process deliberately vilified "the other" for both political expediency and clear personal xenophobic views he holds.
You know that aswell, and are currently veining ignorance on the matter, because you are very much aware it doesn't look good ;).
I'm not going to speculate as to why you are doing so, although it doesn't take a genius to figure that one out ;), neither do i care enough to do so.
Either way -
There's more than enough evidence, (comming from Victor Orban himself everytime he opens his mouth i might add) to state that he's an open and out xenophobic person whom absolutely hates every non European, and he's got a disturbing fascination for fascism untop of that.
That is more than just a "character flaw" and it's common knowledge, he does little to hide it himself, why you haven't caught on to those glaringly clear fact's is beyond anyone, and thankfully it's nobody but your own problem, good luck with that btw.

Whatever the content is, the fact that an British "ex" MI6 agent Christopher Steele (that's a foreign agent in US terms) is actively participating in an dirt opp on an at that time still US Presidential hopeful Trump is in of itself quite illegal. Doing that on the behest of the DNC and Hillary Clinton reeks of active state/Democracy subversion aka treason on their part.
Even the British MI6 agency itself should investigate this supposed former agent, if they don't, it might look like he was following orders from London/Westminster to do so on their behalf, instead of going rogue.
The rest of the dossier could be as dull and maybe even misleading as it can be, but just the part of MI6 and Mr Steele's involvement in this is damaging enough, especially for Hillary Clinton.
Normally not a conspiracy type of guy, but after a building owned by the Clinton's and rented out to US secret service elements whom closely worked with Mr Christopher Steele suddenly burns down right at the moment US Republican's started to take an interest into this perticular building and all its connections,...makes one go mmmmmhhh😕⁉
That together with the known fact confirmed by the ranking and respected Mrs Donna Brazil that the DNC sabotaged Bernie Sanders Presidential campaign on the behest and direct request of Hillary Clinton it's starting to look like more then just a storm in glass, a view CNN is pushing really hard because of their close connection to Hillary Clinton's campaign at that time.
Dirty business, thank f**k i'm European, these types of shenanigans are really quite bad for Democracy,....but then again, so is Trump ;).

What I don't understand is that in Catalonia the sparsely populated area's and in the small towns people's votes count twice and they can vote twice too, that's severly rigging the system of "Democracy", 1 person can vote for a political party or person and it effectively counts for 4 freaking votes in the end 😕WTF⁉
Then untop of that, the voters threshold for a party to get to participate in the regional and "national" (in this case Catalan) election is a third lower for any given Catalan nationalistic/separatist party vs a non aligned party,....again severly rigging the system of "Democracy" to their favour, because the rural sparsely populated areas and the small towns i just mentioned are all without exceptions bastions of Catalan nationalist/separatist parties.
That's why we seen the fallout after the "Coup d'etat" attempt in Catalonia when Mr Puigdemont and some other separatist politicians tried to unilaterally proclaim Catalonia's independence of the Kingdom of Spain,....it wasn't even based on their results, given after severly rigging the system they actually didn't even manage to get a majority in any stretch of the imagination.
People didn't feel represented (clearly they weren't) and the move was an illegal one aswell, it contradicted the Spanish Constitution one that Catalonia itself even ratified and signed, so it was wrong in so many way's. (going that route would have even made it impossible for the EU to have them join, which is the claimed wish of the separatist)
Don't get me wrong, if the real majority of the people of Catalonia really want independence, then via a real representative Democratic process they should get their chance to get there, this was definitely not the case here, it was a blatant Coup d'etat attempt on the part of the Catalan nationalist.
It turns out that the hardcore Catalan separatist didn't have a majority even after they severly rigged that system for decade's, so before Spain turns Catalonia back over to the Catalan semi autonomous regional government it should address these weird and undemocratic rules the Catalan separatist have afforded themselves to their favour.
Then and only then do you get real representative Democracy in Catalonia if you don't do that, we'll be back here again in the future, and I'm guessing it will happen at even worse timing then it was last time, because the Catalan separatist definitely know when best to strike.

dunholm1 We can easily recoup,...that's the huge difference and their aren't 4.000.000 jobs depend on the UK in Europe directly or indirectly m8,...the most jobs in Europe depend on Germany and the Netherlands,...then France, Spain&Italy and Belgium, the rest is mostly Asia, Africa, Canada and the US, then the rest of the globe, the UK is lumped in there somewhere.
But for the UK it's mostly the EU,..it's your jobs that depend largely on the EU, not anywhere close for us in the EU vise versa.

Bolton has a few screws loose, the man is missing a few bolts aswell, completely unhinged and frankly, a real bloody liability too.
The man speaks before he thinks and when he does talks it ends up an incoherent rant perfumed heavily with a good dose of ignorance on any given subject and laden with xenophobia.
He holds many serious world institutions like the UN in contempt without even understanding what they do and how they work, this should worry everybody, including the people from that very young nation he's from.
But the message is already clear, Trump doesn't intend to negotiate seriously unless the North-Korean's fully submit and surrender, this is not only a dangerous course to take and unproductive but it's never going to happen for a whole plethora of reasons, one's i'm sure Bolton isn't even slightly aware off.
This means that Trump really isn't ready or prepared and the North-Korean's have real good negotiators whom will catch on to that fact real fast, it's not looking good.
Tillerson might have had his flaws but atleast he was still aware off his shortcomings and reasonable enough to know when he got it wrong. Bolton is a mad raging steer in a porcelain cabinet, if even one manages to get him to see the error of his ways it will already be too late and the permanent damage will already be irreversible.
It's like giving Charles Manson a knife and setting him off in the Hollywood hill's, it's going to be a massacre and we're all going to know about it sooner or later.

The attacks in Afghanistan happen for a plethora of reasons from many groups involved even foreign one's. You can't claim that there's only one agenda or only one perpetrator involved in Afghanistan.
You've got the Taliban whom control 70% of the territory of Afghanistan effectively, with aid of some elements within large tribal Afghan communities and their leaders, sometimes aided by a part the Pakistani secret service the ISI.
ISIS terrorist have managed to get a small but consistent foothold into Afghanistan, aided by a group of Afghan tribes in conflict with the majority of the other Afghan tribes. These are financed via Saudi-Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Koeweit and some very rich and politically connected families based in Jordan and Pakistan.
ISIS enjoys the support not only in finance but logistics and political cover from these countries, not mention intelligence via their secret services, even a part of the Pakistani ISI is again involved in this.
Then you've got the main Pakistani Government involved in the conflict with Afghanistan, it sees that country as it's own backyard. Conflict is good for them there because then they can to some degree control Afghanistan, unity in that country is seen as unfavourable in Pakistan, so they play all of the parties involved.
This sometimes gets out of hand and their Government troops aka the Pakistani Military and Pakistani civilians get hurt or killed in the process, but it's seems that Pakistan's Government takes that on the chin as a cost of doing business there, not to mention, they've lost full control over their secret service the ISI along time ago, so their agendas don't always match, not even within the ISI itself.
Rampant corruption in the Afghan Police Forces only ad to the troubles there. That, and the tribalism in the Afghan Police will remain an enormous cause for concern, because most police units are actually tribal militias and their ranking officers are the tribal leaders, so, alliances can shift as fast as the wind does for any reason at any time.
Then come remains of what was one's the Northern alliance of Masud, they vehemently oppose the Taliban, ISIS and the remaining Al-Quaida elements still left in Afghanistan. They are underfunded and mistrusted by the current Afghan Government because of a power struggle were elements of the Afghan Government occasionally side with the Taliban although they're idiotically incompatible with one another, so, it's not about tribalism or religion but clearly politically motivated.
It gets even deeper if you get into the Pashtun area's spread over both Afghanistan and Pakistan, there too are many side's with as many agendas involved. Put untop of that the difference between the EU and US visions of a future Afghanistan and their approaches to achieving that and it's a perfect storm.
Don't forget,....there are still elements of Al-Quaida there in conflict with everybody els and Russia and China are there in background because they want to exploit the vast untapped natural resources of Afghanistan.
Karachi is a whole separate issue too, but very much part of the Afghan conflict as the main international transport hub (harbour) in Pakistan but for that entire region really, needed by both Afghanistan and Pakistan but all the parties involved too, it's vital to control the harbour, problem is, non of them do, it's a very powerful criminal family that in reality control that harbour.
But I've heard that Donald Trump is going to easily fix the problem,....so i'm not worried anymore lol ;-).

AugustanFinn Same with Geert Wilders of the Dutch right wing party "De PVV" "De Partei voor de Vrijheid" "The Party for Freedom" .
He's got no party plan to do anything, go into any kind of debate with him (try to, atleast) and it could be about carbon emissions or something his awnser will be:"we got Muslims living in our Fatherland".
Sure Mr Wilder, but what are your thoughts on tax for example ?,...awnser :"we've got undocumented immigrant's that might be ISIS living in the Netherlands".
Oké, Mr Wilder, we've got that out of the way but,....and he interrupts you with a rant about leaving the EU, our border's are leaking and Muslim's are building Mosks everywhere in our Holy Fatherland.
Why won't you awnser these simple question Mr Wilder ?,.....awnser :"I like Marine Le Pen and Donald Trump,.............ehh, what Mr Wilders ?!
I'm not going into discussions and btw Yeah, Mr Macron is gay,....that's any conversation with any European right wing nutjob and the Yankville guy Trump,..they haven't got a plan besides Meme's, the delusions of the day, they just need other uneducated nutjobs to vote for them and some malicious educated one's too of course.
It's not going anywhere m8, don't worry, people aren't that stupid/naïve in Europe,...the US however is another story all together.

José Dourado Wow dude, that was some outburst of xenophobia😕,....we in Europe luckily don't agree with you assessments m8.
First you congratulate Kosovars in the name of our European Union only to go full on xenophobic on Serbian people who have suffered just as much as anybody els and committed the same crimes as all sides, nobody comes out of this looking clean and innocent,.....nobody.
Not to mention, not only did Serbs have influence from outside and been delegated to a proxy, all sides had this happen m8, by a plethora of interested parties aka states aka foreign agitators.
Don't congratulate any party that took part in the war in former Yugoslavia in our name again, you are clearly biased AF, and your statements don't represent the EU's stance, ours is an inclusive one,....it brings people together, you're here to divide and accuse,...not cool dude, not cool.

@globalmuffin2 There's alot of negative news for decade's on Romania, and on its elite politicians those news items are right, they are corrupt, so are the Romanian civil-servants top to bottom.
But it has to be said that the Romanian themselves aren't, they really want change, actual change and are fed up with the corruption and openly say they've got a problem and need/want help even from outside to achieve that.
Italian's themselves however have glass hart's, they scream and make big gestures when that is pointed out they fake outrage, refusing to recognise their country is a mess,...and they don't want to be supervised while it's very much needed, because of their "pride"⬅it's ridiculous.
Romania need supervision for a different reason vs Italy,...and with the support of the Romanians themselves, i think it will be a big success too, that's the difference.

@sampowell1649 That's definitely what they like the world to think, it's far from the truth though.
Speak to the average real Aussie and they'll tell you something different, the same is true for the Scottish, the Welsh, the Canadian and the New Zealanders,...they want out.
Their elites get perks;
a placement for their children at Cambridge or Oxford, regardless if they are smart or thick as mud.
a senior membership on the board at BP, never having to appear irl and a ridiculously high salary.
a string of tax breaks,...only for members of course.
Getting invited to all the posh parties,....one has to keep up appearances mustn't one.
a political passport aka a get out of jail for free card,...for those sticky "Prince Andrew" situations, etc.
And if one has betrayed the soul of their respective sovereign nation's people enough to the Brits to the point you've got a very brown nose and smell a bit funny,...their Queeny might just bestow a title upon you for services rendered to the crown ;).
Challenging this carefully crafted English myth is just not cricket old boy ;).

infinitecanadian Angry ?! I thought we were being frank,...right ?! We Dutch are direct (we prefer it actually),....didn't you know ?! But if it's practicality you want, we should all be speaking Spanish or Chinese m8.
I'm not for either,....French is widely spoken in Europe and large parts of Africa, even in the Middle-East and North-America (including Canada),....and many parts of the Caribbean and Latin-America, even parts of Asia like in Vietnam and Cambodia, that's a reason all on its own to have that in as a viable option.
But there the Esperanto language too,.....i'm not in favor of that one either, neither are most 99.9 of the EU in favour of English including me, it's quite a normal standpoint over here.

infinitecanadian Irish like French,....it's given as a subject in school there habitually as is German btw, the UK is finished, not up for discussion as an EU entity period, it's silly to even bring up.
Your aircraft traffic story was wrong too, in Africa most air traffic is done in French and in Europe English isn't an lingua franka in air traffic either, French and Spanish are used just as mutch, even German is, in Latin-America it's Spanish, in China the most spoken language on earth it's Chinese, but a friend of mine gives French classes to Chinese pilots there, great earner too.
My point is, everybody (unless they're not very smart) should at least be a polyglot, in Europe most people from most countries are,... with the exception of Britain and Italy.
Even in my country were the previous gen were very adapt at speaking English and it was known that in the Kingdom of the Netherlands you could speak English to just about anybody,.....that's seriously in severe decline with these last two generations, French and German are (on the other hand) going up rapidly as one of the average 3 languages a Dutch person speaks.
English is in decline m8, there's an enormous part of the interwebs you don't have access to if you only speak English, Spanish or Italian, in your neighbours words,...it's Huge ;)

It would have been more palatable and believable if he did,...but he didn't, so, it's all academic now.

Biciclind cu Axel I'm sure there's a resentment there,...there are more countries with a hatred of the British because the Brits sold them out or betrayed them,....Poland, Ireland, Spain, Greece, etc, etc.
But, why chose to lingere, you know the best revenge is having it good and looking the part, do what is good for Romania, forget about the British.

marco antonio godoy Those are issues of the past, we don't see a problem with any of them, it's a new day.
If we let ourselves resort to old yesterday issues then the British can make the case why we Dutch attacked them a few times in history and why we sank their fleet taking their capital ships including the Prince of Wales as war booty, destroyed a few towns or occupied parts of the UK including London after the battle of Medway to eventually put a Dutch Prince on their thrown and made him King of England.
The Indonesians, the South-Africans, Papua New Guinea, Timor, Surinam, Sri-Lanka, parts of Brazil and New York (one's New Amsterdam) can blame us Dutch for colonising them and subjugation under our rule,....it's ancient history and we're sorry for it, we've already apologised alot to them.
Sure, we still own Aruba, Curaçao, Bonair, Saba Sint-Maarten and St Eustace as part of the Dutch Kingdom but they are happy to be still part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
But the rest is history,...it's in the past, don't see why we need to bring it up, again, we're sorry for what we did, we're sorry for our role in slavery too.
It's a new day.

NFSCompetizione I think Prime-Minister Charles Michelle was pretty clear yesterday on it "not being a Belgian problem" he's definitely going to extradite him as soon as the Belgian Judge gives him the go ahead.
Carles Puigdemont is in my eyes is a huge flight risk, he's already proven to be and he (like Charles Michelle knows) can become an problem for the Kingdom of Belgium because NVA members are using the Catalan Coup d'etat attempt as a pretence for their own Flamish independence case to do the same in Belgium.
Carles Puigdemont hasn't landed in Brussel by accident, and not for the reasons he's stating on "it being the capital of the EU", sure it's part of it, but definitely not the main reason he went there,....it's pure blackmail on his part.
He can from there blackmail the EU on being soft on him or he'll make more trouble than he already has, he can blackmail the Belgian state by being an inspiration to Flamish separatist aswell, so do what he wants, or "I'll make trouble for you too", and he gets to control the message of his Coup d'etat attempt and subsequent flight and paint himself as "the lone hero" that has "the big bad wolf of Spain" to deal with. (David vs Goliath;)
So, don't oppose him in his illegitimate coup d'etat attempt or he'll make sure you look like a baddy helping the evil state of Spain, all ludicrous of course, hence he's using a combination of blackmail and trying to control the message from the temporarily safe zone of Brussel via the media.
No, he's made too many enemies and not only in Spain, I'll be surprised if he didn't get extradited to face a court in Madrid within a 100 day's from now. (and rightfully so, i might add)
1
-
NFSCompetizione You forgot to take into account that the ETA was widely hated (even in the Basque territories on both the French and Spanish side, different times too back then) and a full on terrorist organisation that never had a real support base to get anywhere but didn't have the potential opponent the Catalan face today either,...the EU and Belgian political parties among a great many others.
Jean Claude Junker was very clear in his stance, he had no desire to see the members states fragment into even smaller one's, that sentiment is echoed in all member states by all concerned governments off said state's, but beyond that as well, even the leaving UK has very clearly condemned this move from Carles Puigdemont and the manner in which he did this. (of course they're afraid of the SNP and Nicola Sturgeon;)
Now you might think that the 38% of the Catalan's that actually voted were all for independence, but they weren't, it's a very fragmented scene even among the Catalan separatist from whom a large part don't approve of Carles Puigdemont, they couldn't give two sh**s if he stood trial in Madrid, it's the Catalan context they're worried about not him.
Again, he's made too many enemies and is still provoking more trouble, I'd be super surprised if he wasn't infront of a Judge in Madrid within a 100 day's from now, even the Mayor of Barcelona is disappointed in him, too few and fragmented friends but way to many powerful and organised enemies, he really needs to amp up the rhetoric if he's even to stay relevant to the Catalans and their cause, but it's easy to slip up one's you do and you'd make even more enemies.
Don't forget Madrid has a few cards it can play,....it can go to a federal system, an idea thats not only popular in other Spanish regions but would severly cripple the Catalan separatist movement as a whole permanently because, it's a popular idea among the silent majority of Catalans aswell even among a sizeable amout of "separatist", again leaving Carles Puigdemont's butt in the wind, open for prosecution in Madrid without anybody batting an eye. (The PP and Madrid will have its pound of flesh)

ctguy591 He's going to win and we've got to coincide that it's actually done Democratically. In Russia they've always liked strong assertive leader's throughout its entire history.
From Ivan the terrible, Peter the great, Katharina the great, Vladimir Lenin, Joseph Stalin all the way to Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. As soon as a Russian leader shows any kind of weakness he/she is done for, just look at the last Tsar, he wanted to reform Russia and give citizens rights, that was seen as a weakness, he and family got murdered by the Bolshie's for it.
But be calculatingly ruthless as a leader and they'll love you for it in mother Russia, it will get you into the Kremlin and into absolut power.
Look at his contenders,...one is nostalgic for the CCCP and it's brand of Communism an experiment Russian's have seen fail already.
The other is Nationalistic bordering on Fascism a system the Russian's totally beat themselves in WW2 when the tore Germany a new one.
Then you've got a narcissistic woman who likes herself too much, a vanity that one's cost an Russian Empress her power the Russian's remember that from their history classes.
And last but not least a clown, a man with no support whatsoever, even Rasputin had more swag but got drowned and shot in the end left in a cold frozen Russian river.
Get real, non but Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin has any chance of winning the Russian vote, he's everything they respect in a leader.
