  1. You are not far off the mark m8 xD. There's a huge amount of British checking if they've got an Irish grandparent because Ireland grants you a passport if it's the case, that's an EU passport. Belgium and the Netherlands are currently dealing with the highest amount of applications for a Dutch passport from Brits. The steep rise in British that live and work in Spain, Portugal and France now applying for EU passports is enormous. So, your not wrong.
